THE TWO CASTLES There was an eerie indefinable pattern shaping the life of Geraldine Fisher She couldn't see it or touch it but as strange events surrounded her she knew it had to be there The castle in Switzerland was monumental towering seemingly ageless but instead of the ex. Like the other reviewer states this is of a straightforward romance with some mystery than a gothic I assume they classed it as a gothic because of the castles I admit to buying it solely based on the great cover i assume that s the lead character Geraldine standing in front of her father s castle Geraldine is raised by foster parents who send her to a boarding school in Switzerland until she is 21 years old With no funds deeply disappointed in love and nowhere else to go Geraldine returns to New York City where she lived with her now deceased foster parents and attempts to make a life for herself and find out about her past There s really no mystery other than her background which she learns easily enough and her inheritance from her father which does not come into play until nearly the end of the novel I enjoyed the book though I don t normally like romances Geraldine had to endure uite a lot of misery because she had no money and most of the European characters come off as pa
