Is now on the loose and the killings begin Elmer Jacks the pet shop proprietor finally reveals the true identity of the turtle to the two boys He says there is an old scroll that was lost which holds the answer to the cursed tortoise and can revert it back to human form Ch Deborah McClatchey is a masterful writer in her ability to write on multiple levels While this book Evil in Disguise is geared towards young adults there is also a sense of maturity and depth that will appeal to older readers This particular story involves two friends Charlie and Marlin Victor the town a hole and all around jerk Elmer the pet shop owner and guide Now bring in a possessed turtle and Sunni the cute girl next door and you have all the elements of an intriguing plot Imagine if you will Freddy Krueger becoming a turtle and you can begin to get a feel for the depth of evil at hand Redemption lies in an old scroll and the journey begins in solving its mystery A great read that is as entertaining as its engaging and captivating I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and can certainly recommend it to fans of the this genre

Arlie’s pretty neighbor Sunni Russell joins them on their hunt for the beast With her help they search the Internet for the answer to the reversal of the curse But will they find it And most importantly if they find the turtle will the special words on the scroll even wo This is definitely a one of a kind book This was recommended by a friend and I honestly did not know what to expect so it was bit of a surprise for me nonetheless I did enjoy reading this book and recommend it
