An authentic look at daily life from someone who has consistently been in the right place at the right time His images are both timely and timeless and tell the stories of real life in the Big Apple in unfiltered and honest detai. Matt Weber is one of the most dedicated and respected street photographers working the streets of New York these days and it was nice to hear that he had produced a new book The book has received positive reviews in the British press and after receiving my copy it s easy to see why Many of the pictures included were taken in the 1980 s and 90 s when the city was transitioning out of hard times and there is a nostalgic uality in these images for those of us who weren t there or were too young to understand what was going on The book contains black and white photographs mostly film shots that capture a wide range of actions and emotions and it is very well done

I am a collector of photo books of my City This book was such a pleasant surprise Mr Weber is on the same path as so many other NYC great photographers that have haunted the streets of this mystical, and at times dark City That he drove through all the cantons and paths as a cab driver only makes his eye that much better A great experience for the eyes.
