What does it mean to be brave This is the uestion Caden must answer as he accompanies Thea Ben Rain and Naomi back out under the dark clouds of the canopy to rescue Viv from the deadly shadows and save a shattered Earth from the brink of destruction Caden’s lazy arro. 35 starsFull Review on Brianna s Bookish ConfessionsI received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review from the author It does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my reviewI really enjoyed the seuel I finished this within a dayThis is a dystopianparanormal book in which the world the sky is covered in dark clouds from pollution The sun can t get through the clouds which means nothing can grow and survive in this world Food is scarce and it s hard to survive Everyday your just trying to survive until the next day and try and find food and do the same the next day Thea our main character sees a girl being beat up by 2 guys and runs to save her While bringing Viv back to a healthy state Thea notices that her bandages need to be changed While changing Thea sees this weird light coming off Viv s abdomen Whoever comes in contact with this light will receive this light on them as well if they believe in the lightI am really excited that I got to review the 2nd book I definitely enjoyed this My biggest issue is connecting with the characters I really like all the characters but I ve just had a hard time connecting with them As well as the action I felt that it was building up to this one epic battle scene It comes and within 3 pages it s over with But when the action was there holy cow These dark creatures are freaky They have human like ualities but kind of remind me of ghostsMy favorite thing about this series is the world that M Kircher has created Not only is this dystopian which is one of my favorite genres but it includes paranormal aspects which is my favorite genre I love that the romance isn t the biggest part of this which is nice to get away from for a while Yes there is a couple scenes which are adorable and sweet by the way Rain is definitely my favorite character he is hilarious and is head over heels for Viv I love Viv and Rain s relationship I also really enjoy how this changes point of views every so often I think the majority of The Gray Horizon is told from Caden s point of view Who I really like

CoverThe cover works with the story It s clean and simple which I likeInitial ThoughtsBook two started right where book one finished off It was a nice smooth transition I really enjoyed the first book so my expectations were pretty high for this oneMy New BFFThea used to be my BFF but I found she was less intense in this book I really admired her for her strength and how she could take care of herself but I found we didn t see as much of her in this book That made me sad I really missed her She was kind of just the pathetic girl who missed her new friend She was too sad for me in this book but I wanted to keep loving her so bad She disappointed me a littleMy CrushCaden was easily my favourite in this book I thought it was hilarious how he never admitted that he liked Thea until it sort of hit him I thought it was great seeing into his mind a little bit because we got to know him a little better He definitely kept the book light I thought he was super funny and entertaining Whenever him and Rain got together I had a good laugh The only thing that bothered me about him was that he could get a little cheesy when talking about Thea Their relationship was really cute thoughWriting StyleI think this book was fast paced with lots of action There was a lot of information thrown at us though but the author made it fairly easy to keep track of everything Most of the characters were all well developed except Thea who I was a little disappointed withClosing ThoughtsI really enjoyed reading this book It was a little short for me but the author made good use of all her words I think that it was typical for a second book First and last books are always great but the middle books have a lot of setting up to do for the final battle I could tell there was a lot of setting up in this book for an epic battle I liked the dystopian society that the author has created in this series I enjoyed that it was an adventure story as well as a dystopian it made it a little different I d recommend this series to anyone who likes a fun and uniue adventure
